Cairo Mississippi River Bridge : ウィキペディア英語版 | Cairo Mississippi River Bridge
The Cairo Mississippi River Bridge is a cantilever bridge carrying U.S. Route 60 and U.S. Route 62 across the Mississippi River between Bird's Point, Missouri and Cairo, Illinois. Traveling downstream, the Cairo Mississippi River Bridge is the last bridge across the Mississippi River before the confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. The bridge was originally a toll bridge.〔(Map of Missouri Showing State Road System ), January 1, 1930〕 On February 19, 2015, MoDOT's Southeast Region and IDOT's District 9 announced that the bridge will be closed for one year, starting on March 16, 2015. This closure is needed so the now 86-year-old structure can receive significant repairs and rehabilitation.
